The Keynote Speaker for the 2nd Annual Great Stuff Is Made Locally Conference

This annual conference is being given as a
" Community Service " for the implentation of an economic agenda to:
- Identify Local Business
- Identify Individual Entrepreneurs
- Promote Merchants, Small or Large
- Promoting and Marketing " Great Stuff Is Made Locally "
That will help to present a:
"Economic Agenda/Vision" to address how to improve the local economy
for economic growth.
Local businesses, individual entrepreneurs are invited to participate, share
ideas and display to the community their product(s) at the conference. Also.
to place their product(s) at the "Tourist & Visitor Information Center" located
at 28 North Main Street, Bainbridge, New York. We are soliciting all types of
products, business entities and agri-tourism initiatives to promote "Great
Stuff Is Made Locally."
Also, this conference is for:
- To encourage investment in youth entrepreneurship
- To highlighting local arts and crafts entrepreneurs
- To market cultural entities
- To promote the marketing of local area agricultural products to become
a economic engine for tourism initiatves, to assist economic growth into our
community
Also, this conference offers the opportunity for the participation of
various entities to assist in the identification, development, initiation of the
promotion of heritage tourism initiatives for the
Underground Railroad agenda in New York State.
Our
"Economic Agenda/Vision" is focused on marketing
that "Great Stuff Is Made Locally" exist in our local
communities in the person of
individual(s), products, cultural arts and craft, our community youth,
local businesses small and large.
Understanding that with the promotion of "Great Stuff Is Made
Locally" marketing strategies can be developed and initiated to help improve
our local economy, improvement in our economic growth, in producing/providing the
goods/services we all use and/or desire as consumers.
Note: The results of the information gained from individuals
participating in the conference workshops, representing solutions on issues,
concerns from grassroots individuals and business entities, this information
will be integrated into a New York State wide
"Document Of Solutions," for the
initiation of local/regional economic growth.
The host of the conference, representing the Finger Lakes,
Central Leatherstocking, Catskills and the Capitial-Saratoga Regions of
New York State, will introduce this
information for its inclusion into this
"Document Of Solutions."
This document will be developed at Forging The Freedom Trail
Project, Inc. September 22nd, 2001 Second Annual
"Underground Railroad"
New York State wide conference, to be held at Peekskill,
New York. The theme for the conference is
"Great Stuff Is Made Locally"
for the development and promoting of our state wide
"Freedom Trail" from New York City, north throughout New York State to
Niagara Falls then to Collingwood, Ontario,
Canada.

addressing social, economic or quality of life issues. There will be
"Food Concessions" to satisfy your dining and drinking needs at the conference.
All of the monies rasied by those entities granted a food concession to service
the conference shall be considered donations from "Great Stuff Is Made Locally,"
the conference organizer, to those granted a food concession.

AGENDA: Conference Theme is "Great Stuff Is Made Locally"
Promoting products made by local entrepreneurs
Addressing tourism as a vehicle for economic
development in the rural upstate New York regions, including Agri-Tourism
Focusing on the need for the development of
a
"Business Education Community Partnership Program" (to give community
young adults the opportunity to become entrepreneurs and to perhaps remain in the
community to participate in the development of our local economy)
Investment in our regional/local education
system to produce the availability of a competent work force
Discussing the problems that Small Business
faces today
To address issues that will help to enhance the growth of the
local economy in our community, to promote and cause dialogue, with an agenda
between community residents and merchants.
